Job Title: Business Development Manager

Reports To: Director of Sales

Location: Burlington, MA

Job Summary:

You'll be an important part of a fun, fast-paced, collaborate sales team in a dynamic, innovative and rewarding environment with a history of success.  Your focus will be acquiring new business opportunities through outbound (and some inbound) callling efforts.  Your ultimate success, to help you meet and exceed goals and earning potential, will be driven by your desire to succeed, and ability to communicate effectively, along with a comprehensive training program and ongoing support resources.  You will be provided the ongoing training, resources and leads necessary to accomplish - and exceed - your goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contacting prospect businesses to discuss TimePayment's innovative value proposition, programs and benefits
  • Building, tracking and following up with a growing pipeline of prospects
  • Accurate, timely record-keeping (Salesforce.com)
  • Forecasting via pipeline activity

 

Required Experience and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven success in prospecting and cold calling
  • Ability to build relationships and gain customers' trust
  • Asking questions effectively to uncover needs
  • Consultative sales approach, and strong feature/benefit presentation
  • Ability to influence decisions and conduct dialogue leading to a sense of urgency
  • Adept at building and tracking pipeline of prospects
  • Successful track record meeting/exceeding goals
  • Able to achieve call data standards including dials and talk time
  • Basic experience using a CRM system (Salesforce.com preferable)
  • Strong time management/organizational skills
  • Ability to function successfully in dealine-oriented, high activity work environment

Education and Experience:

  • A four year college degree or equivalent, relevant experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in outbound telesales
