Job Description

TEMPORARY PART-TIME POSTIION

Under the general direction of executive management, the Senior Business Analyst understands the business and the issues and challenges facing the organization.  The SBA collects data on what business requirements should be included in the design stage, and works closely with the technical team to test solutions, record and tract technical issues and implement needed changes. The SBA will determine how to leverage strengths and improve weaknessess trhough various business processes.

Responsiblities include but are not limited to:

  1. Determiness operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  2. Makes recomemendations and may assist with design of new computer programs by analyzing requirements; workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities and new software, and assiting with specifications.
  3. Recommends controls by identifying problems, writing improved procedures.
  4. Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  5. Understands business requirements and translates them into specific software requirements.
  6. Analyze and doument required data and information.
  7. Evaluate information harvested through task analysis and business process description.
  8. Function as interface between technology teams, support teams, and business units.
  9. Trains, leads, and mentors lowere-level anaylsts and other team members.
  10. Employs mature written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to interact with executives and technical staff.




Skills/Requirements

INDIVIDUAL REQUIREMENTS:

The SBA competencies included analysis and solution defintion; Technical recommendation and testing; and project execution. Imcumbent must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and technical staff.  The incumbent in this position must have technical knowledge nd an understanding of computer programming and software.  The incmbent must also have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; work well under pressure; and work cooperatively with others.

Incumbent must possess a Bachelors degree in Business or related field.

The incumbent in this position will be required , with or without, reasonable accomodation, operate a destop computer using a keyboard and mouse; employ repetivie arm and wrist motions; occasionally bend and stoop, twist, reach, and lift file or supply boxes up to 10 lbs.
