Job Description

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor or Manager

Position Summary: Drives large trucks to move/transport raw materials between manufacturing locations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Picks up/drops off raw materials between manufacturing facilities as requested
Maintains government logbooks (where legally applicable/outside 100 mile radius)
Operate company owned trucks and trailers to transport materials over long distances
Load and unload cargo
Ensure cargo is secured properly and compliant with safety requirements
Preform pre trip, en-route and post trip inspection of vehicle
Keep equipment clean and in good working order
Preform preventative and regular maintenance on vehicles
Relay customer feedback to appropriate manager
Provide customer with information on safely handling delivered products

Required Skills or Tools:

Valid commercial driver’s license
Safe driving record
Ability to pass government physical, drug, and alcohol tests

Preferred Education/Experience:

One year of experience required

Physical Strain:

Standard requirements. Bending, squatting, climbing, twisting and reaching will all be used occasionally in this position
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Must be able to work under pressure
