Job Description

This role is responsible and accountable for the analysis and maintenance of purchasing and quality data including but not limited to; purchase orders, quotations, invoices, source catalogs, material rejection disposal reports, supplier data and measurements.  This role has some limited responsibility for implementation of local or regional sourcing strategy, under the direction from their Manager and/or experienced Buyers.  IMPORTANT: Hours will be 10am - 7pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage issues with Supplier invoices.
  • Proactively managing purchase order delivery.
  • Manage and disposition for receiving discrepancies.
  • Printing/Email PO's to suppliers.
  • Expediting orders when necessary.
  • Run reports.
  • Works with Buyers to establish requisition coordinator goals to ensure realization of company operating objectives.
  • Maintains familiarity and compliance with all Company Corporate policies and procedures.
  • Establishes, monitors metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Communicates with cross-functional departments (Operations, AMS, and Shops).
  • Observes and complies with all safe work practices.
  • Complies with all HSE regulations and requirements.
  • ERP Oracle knowledge Purchasing/Inventory.
  • May create purchase orders.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices and procedures, with a working knowledge of supply chain.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. 

Physical Strain:

  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
