Job Description

The Siebel CRM Developer will work closely with the other members of the application development team and report directly to the Director of Information Systems.  The primary function will be to design and implement solutions within the Siebel CRM application that support the company’s overall business strategies.  The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of the Siebel application architecture and solid familiarity with OOTB functionality to help prescribe ideal best practice solutions within an expanding and complex business model. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide solutions for a myriad of business and application processes that support the company’s business strategies.
  • Perform Basic application configuration utilizing the following: Business Objects, Business Components, Applets, Views, Links, and MVGs, Pick Applets as well as Workflow and custom server and browser scripts.
  • Develop integration objects and strategies to interface with new and existing external applications as needed using EAI, Web Services, EIM as well as EBC.
  • Administer, maintain and monitor all Siebel application instances, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide daily production support for the Siebel application.
  • Troubleshoot system issues related to both the server and application environment to determine proper course of action to resolve.
  • Plans, manages and implements Siebel upgrades and system modifications including repository management and migration.
  • Coordinates with Director of IS and Application Development team on all deliverables to establish timeframes for application changes and enhancement releases
  • Performs unit testing and coordinates user acceptance testing to ensure system modifications meet the end user expectations.
  • Documents all Siebel application changes as part of the change control process.

 

 

 

 

Skills/Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer software, or related field 
  • Excellent knowledge of the Siebel CRM Application Architecture
  • Proficiency using Siebel Tools to develop applications in all areas of Configuration, Scripting (escript), Workflows, Business Services, Integration Objects, Web Services, EAI, EIM.
  • Must have 2+ years’ experience developing Siebel applications with participation in each phase of at least one full Siebel lifecycle implementation
  • Siebel Financial Services experience a plus
  • 2+ years experience with relational databases (SQL Server 2005\2008\2012)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface with end users on a regular basis to ensure quality
  • Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently as required
