The SQL Server Database Analyst will play an important role in the management and delivery of information within the organization. Their primary responsibilities will be to work with the Application Development teams and end users to deliver data solution to meet their needs. From developing stored procedures for application use or building complex SSRS reports, they will be expected to produce highly efficient and optimized solutions.
Development of Ad-hoc Queries based on end user requests for information.
Work with Application Developers to provide the backend Stored Procedures and Data access methods needed for their applications builds.
Generate data extractions to be served to the companies email campaign system.
Create SSRS reports to provide analytics data to different departments in support of critical analysis functions.
Work closely with Siebel CRM Developers to periodically perform data cleansing of the contact records.
Assist in designing new application databases working closely with the application development team.
Monitor and performance tune complex queries using tools such as Database Engine Tuning Advisor as well as SQL Profiler.
Develop data migration processes using SSIS to import data from external sources as well as manipulate and export data as required.
Developing stored procedures using MS SQL Management Studio and utility applications in MS Visual Studio as needed.
Document database changes and modifications as part of the change control process.
Interface with end users to procure data\reporting requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer software, or related field
Strong understanding of database structures, data set theory, principles and practices
3 + years’ experience in database administration on a SQL Server DB environment
3+ years developing solutions using TSQL, SSIS and SSRS
Complex analytical and problem solving skills
Technical documentation skills
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment
Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
