This individual will work closely with an experienced development team to verify the quality of our industry-leading software. Candidate will be responsible for performing software functional testing to ensure the product meets system specifications (black box testing), performing software Regression Testing to ensure that no defects are introduced from changes made during design cycles, and the creation and prioritization of test cases/scripts, test case automation using industry best practices for testing methodology. As a member of our team the candidate will be responsible for coordinating the effective delivery of reliable software applications for a well-known government customer. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated Quality Assurance Analyst with 2+ years of experience in testing web enabled applications.

The primary job responsibilities for this role include:

  • Create test plans using proposed templates and standards
  • Create bi-directional traceability matrix between requirements and test scripts
  • Participate and provide feedback in Requirements, Design, and Interface Specification review to ensure product testability
  • Ensure software meets intended user requirements, customer workflow, and user scenarios
  • Participate in improving Quality Assurance standards and processes
  • Document, track and verify resolution of software specification defects using designated QA tools

Required skills and experience include:

  • 2+ years IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience
  • 2+ years experience creating and/or conditioning test data
  • 2+ years experience with defect tracking and management
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred skills include:           

  • Strong analytical, communication, and team skills
  • Knowledge of personal computers, internet technologies, and Microsoft Office suite tools
  • Experience implementing or using Selenium
  • Knowledge of programming concepts
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

Clearance requirements: This position requires that qualified candidates have a Secret level clearance.
