The Product Manager will be a key evangelist for their product lines – driving adoption and momentum throughout the organization and the industry. This person will play a key role in determining long-term product vision and direction, as well as serving as the ‘voice of the client’ inside of the organization. We are looking for a critical thinker with proven track record, with a passion for product strategy and an interest in serving the corporate legal market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The role spans the entire product lifecycle and requires strategic thinking, solid business acumen, and a passion for driving cross-functional execution to ensure overall product performance and market adoption.
This role will influence the overall product management within the Company, including:
Performing market research and developing strategic solutions to ensure optimization of current portfolio on an ongoing basis
Fostering close relationships with all key market constituents (clients, evaluators, prospects, competitors) to ensure product strategy currency and relevance
Performing and communicating thorough business analysis for proposed products and initiatives, including cost/benefit estimates, market trends, competitive analysis, risk analysis, industry best practices, and product development timelines
Planning, prioritizing and facilitating (via dedicated Product Owners) the development of products from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize revenue and meet operational, financial and corporate objectives
Collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure go-to-market strategies, plans, and activities are aligned with the strategic vision
Up to 20% travel
Bachelor’s degree completed, in business or technology related program a plus, MBA a strong plus
2+ years relevant professional work experience
Proven business, strategic marketing, & business planning skills (including specific accomplishments)
Proven skills/experience analyzing market drivers to distill real market needs
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills, especially ability to effectively present/communicate with executives
Strong team-player with proven ability to interact with and influence marketing, R&D, sales, and services, as well as clients and partners
Experience in building and launching software applications for the On-demand or SaaS environment, preferred
Experience in managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for both new and established product lines, preferred.
Experience working with software engineers in an Agile environment, preferred
Experience with Pragmatic Marketing’s product management methodology, preferred
Experience working with the Corporate Legal, Insurance, or GRC industries, or related industry, a big plus.
