GuideOne Insurance is a nationally recognized insurer of houses of worship, Long Term Care providers including nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and educational institutions. Currently, our Commercial - Loss Control & Risk Management Department seeks a motivated and experienced Clinical Risk Manager, RN for our Long Term Care customers and fee-based clients nationally.
This work from home position will preferably be located in New York or New Jersey; however, location is flexible.
The duties of this position include:
Conducts risk control assessments, and consulting and technical support related to liability exposures for prospective, new and renewal long term care customers and fee-based clients.
Collaborate with underwriters to coordinate risk analysis inspections and to provide and report follow-up consultations and training with customers and clients in an attempt to improve the safety of their operational services by stabilizing, decreasing or eliminating identified risk exposures.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management resources and services to reduce frequencies and severities of loss working in conjunction with other management staff.

Active RN license in good standing is required with a four-year degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum five to eight years of work experience in a long term care environment with administrative and supervisory duties.
Strong knowledge of regulatory environment with proven track record of leading others to achieve regulatory compliance and effective risk management practices.
Strong analytical and decision making skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments.
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business-related software.
CRNAC certification preferred.
Prior experience as a Corporate Nurse Consultant, ideal.
Car and airplane travel is required 30 - 50% of time.
