The Accounting Manager is responsible for all aspects of the company’s Accounting Department which includes compiling, reviewing, auditing, reporting and reconciling various daily, weekly and monthly general ledger accounts, financial statements and reports. Desired Skills and Experience
Here is the ideal candidate:
Lead a staff of up to 7 accounting and accounts payable personnel and oversee functions such as sales reporting, cost allocations, cash reconciliations, inventory analysis, fixed assets and payables.
Manage period financial close, which includes the preparation, review and approval of various accounting general journal entries and account reconciliations.
Provide direction and oversight of work performed by Accounting Department and Accounts Payable personnel.
Assist with the annual financial statement audit by providing various account reconciliations and account analyses as requested by the external auditors.
Manage sales and use tax and property tax compliance and reporting.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintenance, communication, and implementation of operating policies and procedures.
Lead and support staff including: recruitment, selection, training, development, measuring/appraising/rewarding performance, and retention.
Educate team members and foster commitment toward contributing to organizational goals.
