You will implement procedures for the handling of incoming ingredients and supplies and outgoing finished products to our distribution centers. S/he is the Warehouse team’s shift supervisor, directing and planning their day to day activities. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a high degree of inventory accuracy by monitoring and accounting for all products shipped in and out of the bakery and planning and managing ingredients used by production. Ensure that sensitive ingredients used by production are available and in correct state for production use.
Implement procedures for the handling of incoming ingredients and supplies and outgoing finished products to our distribution centers. Monitor that all products received is in correct amounts ordered, are of high quality, and meet shelf life guidelines for product.
Make certain that orders are shipped as scheduled. Ensure all warehouse loads are packed as accurately and as neatly as possible to maximize space and minimize delivery time and failures to ship of product.
Incumbent has frequent communication with transportation contractors to ensure quantity, best rate and timelines of orders shipped to customers. Frequently answers phone and schedules incoming truck deliveries.
Responsible for maintaining a high degree of inventory accuracy. Daily manage and track inventory while monitoring and investigating inventory variances. Reject any product that does not meet quality standards or specifications. Direct and participate in period end inventory and cycle counting.
Ensure that ingredients are distributed to production timely and accurately that allowing maximum efficiency. Manage sensitive ingredients for production ensuring product has correct temperature needed for production use and product is used by expiration date.
Works for effective utilization of warehouse layout and space allocation. Maintains a high degree of inventory accuracy by using scanners and SAP by tracking physical movement, location, usage, and incoming and outgoing of inventory. Uses SAP and scanners for material lookups. Oversees physical arrangement and tracking of inventory. Ensures that allergen classified ingredients are stored in designated areas.
Incumbent is responsible for ensuring all warehouse workers follow establish SAP procedures and do required paper work in a timely bases. Warehouse Supervisor brings all SAP discrepancies to the attention of the manager and ensures warehouse inventory losses are identified and corrective action is taken to reduce losses.

Maintains highest level of sanitation in warehouse. Monitors team’s compliance with all Legendary Baking, SQF, HACCP, AIB, Health Department policies and regulations. Monitors warehouse team completes required SQF paperwork for the warehouse area. Incumbent reports all deviations seen through HACCP verification process and works with QA to ensure safe food product.

Responsibility in ensuring good training and orientation programs are being followed when new employees join the company. Trains and certifies all warehouse crew on all lifts and power jack equipment.
Scheduling and leading warehouse meetings, facilitate problem solving using creative and innovative ideas.
Properly coaches team on daily task and recommends to manager when disciplinary action may be needed.
Keeping warehouse crew informed of performance progress, employee schedules and following up an employee concerns. Moves forward all harassment concerns and serious employee misconduct to warehouse manager.
Providing employee recognition with creative team awards in such a manner to promote morale and improve performance.
Warehouse Supervisor helps interview new warehouse crew members and tours them through bakery during interview process. Supervisor can recommend hires to warehouse manager.
Monitors for a safe work environment in warehouse by enforcing, educating and coaching employees to follow Legendary Baking and OSHA safety standards and reporting any crew member who appears to be impaired working toward accident prevention.
In the event of an employee accident, Supervisor performs follow up in and if necessary ensures that procedures for handling medical treatment and drug testing of injured employees are performed properly. Fills out proper paperwork to send to corporate and works with safety committee, HR Manager and Manager in accident reporting and ensures all accidents and near miss occurrences are reported and documented.
Monitors food safety and security daily and communicates and reports any violations of food security or suspicious activity to bakery manager. Escalates quality issues to QA and upper management as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS( PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS):
The Supervisor is responsible for not only functioning as a manager, but also must be able to perform/ instruct the duties of each Crew position in the warehouse department.
All positions require the following:
Must be able to work in -10 to 40-degree areas for extended periods of time
Must be able to work in 80 to 100 degree areas for short periods of time
Must be able to handle/touch frozen product/equipment
Reach at times above shoulder/below knee level
Lift/move 50 pounds routinely
Lift/move 80 pounds occasionally
Read and write to make schedules, read logs and regulations, and comprehend regulations by Government Agencies.
Grasp/Handle phone handset, receiver and base, Hear to answer questions, Reach to answer and make phone calls.
Grasp/Handle pen and work sheets, Sit/Stand/Walk, Use computer/Write investigation and write employee coach form.
Ability to apply mathematical and reasoning skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Climb ladders, and shut down equipment in an emergency.
Supervisors will be trained to use the fire extinguisher and must be able to conduct all emergency procedures according to company policy and procedures.
3 years experience in Production
Successful completion of certificate in SQF and QCCPs.
Must possess the ability to understand and execute a variety of regulatory and company procedures and policies.
Must have the ability to read, write, count and be multi-task oriented.
Must be computer literate.
Must have the ability to interact positively with employees.
Must complete forklift safety and driving test and train the trainer for forklifts.
Must be able to work independently, at a fast pace, follow and give directions and make decisions.
