P2 Energy Solutions is the only technology company providing a comprehensive range of software, geospatial data, land management tools, and outsourcing to the upstream oil and gas industry.The Database Administrator works closely with the software development, support and infrastructure teams to maintain the databases, application servers, and other related technologies to support the P2 applications for our internal and external customers. The successful candidate for the Database Administrator position will have demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritize assignments. Candidate must be flexible and excited about working in a fast paced company; have proven communication and organizational skills; and be willing and able to focus on both internal and external customer service to meet business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Install, configure, and tune Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server, Application Servers, and other related technologies
Install and upgrade P2 developed applications on internal P2 development environments and on-premise at P2 customer sites
Analyze, resolve, and report technical issues associated with these technologies
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent combination of related education and experience
Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures as a database administrator
• 0-2 years experience in an Oracle environment
Some knowledge of Oracle training would be an asset
