Job Description

MRI Software offers enterprise software applications and hosted solutions that support real estate property owners, investors, and managers in operating their real estate property management businesses and maximizing the returns on their diverse global business portfolios.  Our client base ranges from small- and mid-size property managers to Fortune 500 companies.

RESPONSIBILITES:

As a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer for MRI Software, you will be responsible for applying defined software testing practices and procedures to drive quality and testability of products and services.  This position requires close interaction with the Product Development and Product Management teams.  Responsibilities also include the tactical and strategic execution of test automation, ad-hoc application testing, architecture/framework testing and performance & scalability testing strategies for enterprise applications and systems.

  • Define and execute automated test strategies, using industry Best Practices in the design
  • Interpret the results of manual and automated tests at both the Application Program and user interface layers
  • Understand industry best practices and recommend where and when to apply them on both an immediate, and long-term basis
  • Drive the institutionalization of product and process improvements
  • Effectively work with non-technical staff including senior product and business management

Personal and Business Skills

  • Established ability to deliver products on-time that meet client expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to influence quality control initiatives that may span multiple engineering teams
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automated test strategies in software
  • Practiced with Software Process Improvement in a large organization
  • Proficiency executing projects through the complete software engineering process
  • Thorough understanding of the SDLC with an emphasis on those areas for which Quality Assurance is primarily responsible

Experience:                                           

  • 2+ years in software QA and Software Development preferred
  • Successful experience in Test Automation development and strategic implementation
  • Experience testing applications based on the Microsoft platform using technologies such as .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and Reporting and Analysis Services

Educational Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related area, or equivalent experience
