Job Description

Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated, a leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology, has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Supervisor, for its Insulfoam division, in its Phoenix, AZ location. This position is responsible for insuring external customers are being given excellent care through the oversight of all inside sales/customer services functions and oversee the administrative and human resource responsibilities associated with the Phoenix location. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists Regional Sales Director (RSD) in all tasks needed to grow location’s sales volumes.  Resolves daily sales issues and questions in RSD’s absence.
  • Supervise / delegate duties for CSR and admin staff. Thorough understanding of CSR role.  Capable of taking on these duties when volume or CSR absence dictates needs to meet external customer demand.  Serves as back-up for order entry.
  • Conducts semi-annual performance appraisals.
  • Balance admin/CSR workloads to insure internal and external customer commitments are met
  • Develop relationships with key location accounts.  Periodically travel with outside territory sales people to assist in driving sales and strengthening relationships.
  • Act as liaison between sales and manufacturing.
  • Oversight of Admin MDI boards, updating metrics and insuring follow through on open countermeasures.
  • Verifying and releasing COD and cash sales. Taking or assisting w/credit card orders and issuing debit memos.
  • Working with Carlisle Financial Services (CFS) to insure adherence to terms for customers with credit and assists with customer collections.
  • Works with CSRs to research customer disputes and back-charges.  Provides recommendations to RSD concerning dispute resolution.
  • Processing of preliminary notices
  • HR functions to include:  Maintaining personnel files; insuring location compliance with state and local regulations as well as Carlisle policies and procedures; all hiring and termination paperwork completed accurately and in a timely manner; department coverage for vacations, absences, etc. Customer credit applications.
  • Acts as liaison between employees and Corporate office in terms of benefit management.
  • Ensure SAP systems/processes are completed thoroughly and accurately throughout the MRP process
  • Manages Accounts Payable
  • Manages month end transactions including, review and necessary adjustments to rep and independent subcontractor rep commissions, distributor accruals, inventory adjustments.
  • Filing of all customer documentation associated with product sales.
  • Manages office equipment and supplies while managing to an office supply budget.
  • Coordinates customer visits and assists with location functions.
  • Familiar with lead search engines (Dodge, iSqFt, BidClerk, etc.) and able to assist CSRs/sales reps in lead searches
  • Working knowledge of Premier SharePoint software and ability to enter Premier orders



Minimum Job Requirements:

High School degree required, college highly preferred. A minimum of five (5+) years of experience working in office administration, customer service, order entry and inside/outside sales is required. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a high attention to detail.  In addition, applicants should have basic negotiating, multitasking, problem solving, math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with an ERP system, SAP highly preferred. Previous knowledge of building products and manufacturing scheduling is a plus.
