Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology, has an immediate opening for a Shipping Clerk in its plant in Puyallup, WA. The Shipping Clerk will act as a plant liaison with customers regarding delivery schedule of final product. This position will also provide both clerical and backup role support for the Order Confirmation Clerk.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Processes all confirmed orders/deliveries and directions for all shipments on a daily basis, including daily entry of information into SAP as required.
Handles customer service calls for orders and deliveries.
Participates in meetings to review processes and problem-solve.
Maintains paperwork for Dispatcher and Shipping Department.
Maintains daily filing of shipment folders, pick orders, and create BOL’s.
Assists with the training of new team members and help coordinate company sponsored events.
At least three years in an office setting and preferably at least one year in a shipping, warehouse, and/or logistics-related environment are preferred. Strong computer skills are essential in working with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as SAP. Strong analytical and math skills required. In addition, candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
