Our Account Executives are responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and prospects, and developing business opportunities in their respective geographic territories. The Account Executive’s performance will be significant to Lanyon’s continued success, selling either to the Suppliers within the hospitality industry, including hotel companies, independent hotels, and hotel representation companies, or to Buyers, which include corporations, travel agencies, and other travel management companies.

With a 12-week paid training, our sales professionals are positioned for success. During the first year of selling with Lanyon, a Sales Account Executive has the opportunity to earn over $100,000 combining base pay and un-capped commission.   • Work with the sales management team in creating strategies and processes for driving new business across Lanyon’s Supply or Demand product lines
  • Generate new opportunities for the sales pipeline by setting qualified virtual meetings with identified management executives or contacts at targeted companies
  • Obtain business intelligence on targeted prospects utilizing various methods to include cold calling, warm lead follow-up, and analyst briefings
  • Prospect and close new business
  • Support specific marketing programs, lead generation campaigns, and targeted sales activities
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Lanyon solutions
  • Travel as required to states within assigned territory


  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in successful software sales and/or large account strategic sales experience
  • Basic understanding of technology systems, Internet applications, and CRM systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication, networking, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to converse with prospects at all levels, including the executive or owner level
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment to prospect and develop new business
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.
