The bar takes center stage at Tanakasan, so grab a bar stool and order a libation from the smart drink menu of Japanese and Northwest beers, Northwest and European wines, ginger-spiked cocktails, and fascinating Japanese sakes. The glass doors spanning the 6th Avenue side of Tanakasan open wide to abundant outdoor seating, Seattle style- with fire pits and heaters. Are you an incredible multi-tasker who is quick to anticipate what people need before they want it and bring it to them quickly and effortlessly? We’re hiring bussers who have these keen abilities plus 1-2 years of bussing experience in a high volume restaurant. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude, work quickly, a strong attention to detail and work well in a team environment.
Sets and resets dining room tables. Assists with clearing tables, refilling water, serving bread, and restocking clean plates, silverware, and glassware.
Resets tables according to specifications of restaurant.
Removes plates and silverware when all guests have finished.
Maintains service stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift.
Performs all opening and closing side work as required.
Correctly enters all tip records (due back checks) into Aloha POS.
Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time.
At least 1-2 years in a high volume, fine-dining bar
Understands dining room service procedures.
Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
