Octo Consulting is seeking Senior Web Designers to work with Senior Executives and Management Mission Teams to develop wireframes, prototypes, and final designs for internal-agency and mission-facing websites in support of a federal client.
8+ years of experience in Web Design for user-centered websites at the enterprise level.
Demonstrated experience with graphic design for web and interactive media, information design, corporate identity, user interface design, information architecture, search engine optimization, social media, and other Web 2.0 concepts is required. .
Demonstrated ability with Adobe’s Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, Flash, and InDesign)
Proficient with Web 2.0 concepts including the integration of Social Media including Twitter, Facebook, etc.
Proficient with Search Engine Optimization concepts
Basic understanding of the following web development technologies: Java, PHP, Ajax for data calls / integration
Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management.
Ability to create dynamic enterprise-level websites for large Government agencies.
Develops and codes superior solutions compliant with Government policies such as Section 508.
Easily recognizes design deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Communicates and enforces design standards.
Exceptional writing and editing skills for web-based content.
