Job Description

<p>
Fast Fabricators the industry leader in pipe fabrication has an immediate opening for a <strong><u>Branch Assistant Manager in Ocala, Florida.</u></strong>&nbsp; This position will be a manager in training position.&nbsp; The candidate will be trained to assume the primary responsibilities of managing the Ocala location in the future.&nbsp; The primary function of the position is to assist the Branch Manager in all operational tasks including;<br />
&nbsp;</p>
<ul>
<li>
Administering and overseeing the location Safety Program</li>
<li>
Customer Service-Work with customers tracking orders, verifying delivery dates</li>
<li>
Promote and enforce company policies, regulatory requirements and compliance with OSHA</li>
<li>
Scheduling delivery dates, ordering delivery trucks, meeting delivery deadlines through supervision of production and work progress</li>
<li>
Track employee progress, cultivate and train employees to maximize productivity, track employee attendance, work with manager to manage employee performance issues</li>
<li>
Invoicing, billing, producing purchase orders.&nbsp; Inputting orders into ACCPAC, printing orders and tracking progress of orders daily</li>
<li>
Modify production scheduling, identify root causes for production bottlenecks, scrutinize areas for improvement in productivity through guidance, training and working directly with employees</li>
<li>
Input customer quotes, assist with quoting, and follow through to customers with orders.</li>
<li>
Fill in for Branch Manager in the absence of the Branch Manager.</li>
<li>
Answer phones, assist customers, work with external vendors to fulfill supplies, raw goods and control expenses.</li>
<li>
Evaluate profit and loss statement, analyze business financially, analyzing business trends to maximize profitability.</li>
<li>
Insures the efficiency of all production operations at the plant and insures that all work is performed safely and that the plant is properly maintained and kept in a neat and orderly condition.&nbsp;</li>
<li>
Insures that the location operates in compliance with all governmental regulatory requirements. Coordinate, direct and engage employees in all shop EHS policies and procedures.&nbsp; Create visuals, provide timely information, evaluate safety programs, gage employee involvement, create and meet safety goals.&nbsp;&nbsp; Oversee and implement HR and EHS policies and procedures with all employees.&nbsp; Ensuring professional work environment exists daily by training annually, reviewing code of conduct, and specific mandatory annual training requirements</li>
<li>
Implement and direct product quality control efforts/procedures.&nbsp; Ensure that no product leaves the shop without being inspected for top quality and consistency according to policy.&nbsp; Coordinate and evaluate all equipment maintenance and repairs.</li>
<li>
Work with outside vendors, suppliers and providers of goods to evaluate fair pricing, obtain the best price available for the goods or services required without compromising company standards on quality.&nbsp; Work to maintain a positive, productive business relationship with all vendors</li>
<li>
Proven supervisory and management experience on all levels are required.</li>
<li>
Ability to plan and direct the work of workforce and insure training and development objectives are being met.</li>
<li>
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate on all levels. (Fluency in Spanish is desired).&nbsp;</li>
<li>
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.</li>
<li>
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.</li>
<li>
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meeting all required deadlines.</li>
<li>
Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs.&nbsp;</li>
<li>
Good understanding of safety and the desire to following all established procedures are required.</li>
<li>
Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint software.&nbsp; ACCPAC is a plus.</li>

Skills/Requirements

<p>
<strong>Scope Data/Working Conditions/Physical Demands:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
In addition to an office setting, the employee will be traveling to visit customers in the service territory that the branch serves.&nbsp; Since this is a heavy industrial environment there will be exposure to Fabrication Shop operations.&nbsp; The employee will be exposed from time to time to the following working conditions:&nbsp; Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes.&nbsp;</li>
<li>
The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time):&nbsp; Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, Driving and Sitting.</li>
</ul>
<p>
When in the Shop Production Area the employee will be required to wear PPE including (steel toed shoes if conducting any work related activity), safety glasses and hearing protection where required.&nbsp;</p>
