Project and Design Specialist

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for supporting systems group sales activities, developing and preparing 2D/3D detailed drawings of food system projects, coordinating procurement of components and assembly of systems and providing oversight at installation sites.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform process design and mechanical design of systems using SB-WW engineering and 3D CAD standards.
2. Use sound mechanical and industrial engineering practices to perform site supervision and oversee equipment installation at customer’s site.  May include hiring and supervising local crew to perform installation functions.
3. Support SBA fabrication of Systems in U.S.
4. Support SBA Project Management.
5. Additional responsibilities
   1. Oversee Systems group spare parts sales.
   2. Various customer service activities.
   3. Support various aspects of startup, on-site over site of assembly by contractors or customers, commissioning.
   4. Support system quotation activities.
   5. Provides simple calculations to satisfy applicable codes and standards for specific product groups. Is authorized to sign calculations.
   6. Prepares simple and complex layouts as required to determine geometric relationships of components and subassemblies.
   7. Provides accurate detail drawings, part masters, and bills of material for parts and assemblies per Division standards.
   8. Creates manufacturing data and files required to process parts and assemblies through production.
   9. Checks own output and output of others within the product group.
   10. Provides additional documentation as necessary to satisfy contract and project requirements.
   11. Interacts with other departments in identifying and meeting materials and configuration requirements.
   12. Maintains competency in tools and standards applicable to the function.
