As a Business Analyst at Go Daddy, you will facilitate and support the ongoing evolution of Go Daddy’s Enterprise Data Warehouse to be the data store behind a suite of applications that will power our mission of meaningfully engaging our customers throughout the customer lifecycle via dynamic, multi-channel communications.  There will be a strong focus on data analysis. 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and facilitate the development of requirements associated with customer attribute data collection, aggregation and rules for expediting the build out of our 360 degree view of the customer.
  • Drive the collection of product utilization metrics and customer attribute data for the optimization of our multi-channel marketing applications.
  • Author and maintain a customer attribute knowledge base that will serve as a go to source for business intelligence analysts, marketing strategists and general business stakeholders.
  • Author and maintain software requirements with user stories, use cases, functional requirements and requirements modeling techniques.  Convert requirements into short, clear, concise user stories or technical requirements to be consumed by development and quality assurance teams.  
  • Be able to speak and write broadly at the high level for stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge and also at the detailed low level for Development and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Maintain up to date requirements by being engaged in the product development lifecycle and owning the up-keep of the living documentation. 
  • Schedule and lead discovery and/or requirements gathering meetings with technical and non-technical people.  Facilitate Dev and QA review of the requirements and deliverables to define project scope and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Seamlessly work with Development/QA/Marketing to clarify questions and drive resolving issues.
  • Network and build strong relationships with internal clients to assist the Development Team with evaluating business needs and determining and maintaining priorities.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and assist developers in identifying and resolving root causes of newly identified issues.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for establishing robust, and where possible, automated quality assurance practices for testing deployment candidates.  Create test scenarios to be used in testing the business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design.
  • Assist in planning and designing business processes; assist in formulating recommendations to improve and support business activities.
  • Complete department, technical and user documentation as deemed appropriate. 

 

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or Business related degree.
  • Five to eight (5-8) years of relevant work experience including experience with Agile software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Experience with data modeling, data modeling tools and enterprise class data warehouse systems is preferred.
  • A strong combination of project management, business analysis, and quality assurance skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Critical-thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task and manage change.
  • Demonstrated prior experience at excelling in a fast paced, agile environment.
  • Relationship building skills, project planning, time management and people management skills are required to be successful in this role.
  • Prior experience with the Aprimo tool suite is a plus.
  • Understanding of SQL relational databases and tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of programming concepts and theory is a plus.
