Bullis School, a co-educational, 3-12, nondenominational day school in Potomac, Maryland, seeks energetic and dedicated candidates to teach Upper School computer science and technology courses. The position begins in August 2013. This position involves teaching up to three classes per term and assisting with technology support and integration in the Upper School.  A full-time position also includes other roles within the community, including student advising and additional duties as assigned by the division principal. Bullis teachers embrace our core educational values – Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Creativity, Communication, and Resourcefulness – and work to embed the skills into curriculum.

Skills/Requirements

Successful teachers at Bullis are energized by curriculum development and are grounded in current learning theory. They thoughtfully use technology to blend learning and engage students in active, experiential, and hands-on learning. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching computer science, robotics, and web design, as well as experience developing curriculum. Candidates must value a collaborative team environment and be open to developing new face-to-face or blended courses to support a growing STEM program. Qualified candidates will possess at minimum an undergraduate degree in computer science or related filed, with a graduate degree in a technology related field, or education preferred; teaching certificates are not required.
